Types of Sentences

 

*A declarative sentence makes a statement . It ends with a full stop.

- I have two brothers and sister.

 

*An interrogative sentence asks a question. It ends with a question mark.

-What time is it ?

 

*An exclamatory sentence shows a strong feeling or emotion. It ends with an exclamatory mark.

-What a terrible mess !

-Look at that beautiful bird !

 

*An imperative sentence gives a command or request. It ends with a full stop.

-Take the dog to the vet.
